castillo began professional career in 2002 @ age of 18, when signed defunct segunda división club c.d. telecom.

chalatenango

after spending 4 years san salvador side, castillo transferred c.d. chalatenango 2006 apertura season.

he made primera división debut on august 20, 2006 in league match against c.d. Águila. castillo s speed, ball control , exciting dribbling skills made him of fan favourite, unfortunately first season new club saw him play games off bench. following season things got worse castillo when suffered injury led him being able play 1 game entire tournament. after having watch of entire season sidelines, castillo returned following season. time able prove himself , consistently part of club s starting eleven. season saw him score first primera división goal; came on september 30, 2007 in league match against nejapa f.c..

alianza

controversially, castillo transferred alianza f.c. 2008 apertura season, after c.d. chalatenango club president lisandro pohl left club , took players had helped sign him. after dispute, decided castillo , other players pohl had signed eligible transfer , officially became alianza f.c. players.

at alianza f.c., castillo continued impress , importantly improved game become 1 of most, if not important players @ club. scored first goal new club on november 26, 2008 in league match against c.d. Águila. after being released d.c. united before end of 2010 season, castillo returned alianza apertura 2010. on october 21, 2012 castillo played 100th game alianza in 2-0 loss against metapan [1].

león

on 15 june 2009, castillo 1 of 3 salvadoran footballers signed mexican club, club león on loan basis, other 2 rodolfo zelaya , julio enrique martínez. on 3 december 2009, announced club león had permanently signed castillo along other 2 salvadorans three-year contract.

d.c. united

castillo joined major league soccer side d.c. united on loan 2010 mls season. on june 29, 2010, released club after fall out on contract terms , left club. made total of 10 league games club, , scored 1 goal in u.s. open cup match against fc dallas.

suphanburi f.c.

in february 2013, castillo decided try big leap. after bitter-sweet negotiations lisandro pohl, alianza f.c.owner, rescinded contract calling clause allowed him transfer suphanburi f.c. of thai premier league,sign contract 1 year option more 1 year; leaving alianza f.c. in amicable terms.

after 9 games, terminated contract , returned el salvador sign luis angel firpo.

zeravani sc

in september 2014, iraqi premier league not being recognised fifa, castillo , fellow banned salvadoran teammate josé henríquez joined zeravani sc. fellow banned salvadoran teammate ramón sánchez subsequently joined zakho fc, former club of fellow salvadoran teammate josué flores, plays in iraqi premier league.
