around 50 former stars of club attended launch including coventry city legends george hudson, cyrille regis, charlie timmins , bill glazier. association s first newsletter published in autumn 2007 , website launched. launch of 2007 followed subsequent legends days. 2009 event, held @ home game against doncaster rovers attended 43 former players including first visit coventry many years of roy barry , dave clements. in march 2012 membership had increased past 200 mark former captain terry yorath inducted 200th member @ 2012 legends day.

sisu out protesters

in august 2011, after coventry city fans became tired of cost-cutting sisu, coventry fans started protest removal of sisu. protests took place @ jimmy hill statue @ ricoh arena before games limited numbers turned out. however, after these games number of protesters grew , did number of banners. after protesting near rear entrance, fans moved lobby , start chanting sisu out @ point large number of security response guards moved in remove protesters.

another protest staged on 15 october 2016 coventry , charlton athletic fans threw hundreds of plastic toy pigs onto pitch during 3–0 loss coventry. play stopped around 5 minutes. protest joint effort between coventry , charlton fans against respective owners.

on 15 december 2016, televised match between coventry , sheffield united temporarily halted after 86 minutes due on-field protests, once again against owners sisu. atmosphere of match dominated coventry supporters whistling loudly , chanting anti-sisu protests in stands throughout entire 90 minutes.
