a simple single storey red brick station building gable roof provided @ padbury. no provision made stationmaster expected live in 1 of nearby houses, case banbury merton street s stationmaster. farthinghoe railway station, station had single platform, 250 ft (76 m) long, unlike farthinghoe conveniently situated west of village of 650 inhabitants served. station s siding ran in station forecourt point adjacent main station building; nearby cattle landing, weighbridge , hut. siding, controlled six-lever ground frame , released electric token, accommodated 4 or 5 coal wagons week, milk traffic united dairies factory in buckingham , village s requirements.
padbury ceased have own stationmaster in 1928 upon retirement of levi ambler. station came under control of stationmaster @ buckingham railway station gave instructions remaining staff consisting of single porter , junior assistant. 1942 station s staff consisted of single lady porter, bertha allen, employed london, midland , scottish railway (lms) temporary wartime cover, instead remained further twenty-four years until station s closure. in 1960, section of line between banbury , buckingham closed, remaining section lasting 4 more years. padbury station listed closure beeching report , duly closed goods traffic on 6 january 1964 , passenger traffic on 7 september 1964. track not removed , padbury able accommodate royal train overnight stay on 3/4 april 1966 visit queen , duke of edinburgh buckingham.
