carter has been long time team mate of scott. represent manitoba @ 1995 canadian junior curling championships, team finish round robin 7-4 record. play defending champions, jennifer jones in semi-final , win, moving on face ontario s kirsten harmark (wall) in final. team end defeating ontario , winning championship, going on win 1995 world junior curling championships.


2005–2009

both scott , carter moved british columbia , remained team mates there. along michelle allen , renee simons, team win 2005 british columbia scott tournament of hearts. carter , scott play in first national women s championship. find success @ 2005 scott tournament of hearts, when finished round robin second place 8-3 record. lose manitoba s jennifer jones in 1-2 game, before losing semi-final ontario s jenn hanna.


the team participate @ 2005 canadian olympic curling trials, finish first place in round robin 7-2 record. face shannon kleibrink in final, , leading 7-5 after 9 ends, give 3 in tenth, losing olympic bid kleibrink.


in 2006 jeanna schraeder return team, , win 2006 british columbia scott tournament of hearts. team again find success @ 2006 scott tournament of hearts, finished round robin in first place 9-2 record. team defeat nova scotia s colleen jones in 1-2 , bye final. team meet defending champions, jennifer jones, in final win 8-5 , national championship. team make playoffs @ 2006 ford world women s curling championship. defeat germany s andrea schöpp in 3-4 game, before losing semi-final u.s , debbie mccormick.


as defending champions team return 2007 scotties tournament of hearts, second year in row, finish first place in round robin 10-1 record. lose 1-2 game saskatchewan s jan betker, go on defeat manitoba s jennifer jones in semi-final. face betker again in final, , time defeated team winning second national championship. @ 2007 world women s curling championship, team finish first place in round robin 10-1 record. defeat denmark s angelina jensen in 1-2 game, receiving bye final. end meeting jensen once again in final, , defeat denmark team, winning first world championship.


returning 2008 scotties tournament of hearts defending champions, team not find success time around. fail qualify playoffs, finish round robin disappointing 5-6 record.


after disappointing 2008 season, team made decision part ways lead renee simons, replacing jacquie armstrong. newly revamped team still find difficulties, failing qualify 2009 provincials. opportunity compete in 2009 canadian olympic curling trials, finish round robin last place, 1-6 record.


2010–current

carter, along rest of scott team qualify , win 2010 british columbia scotties tournament of hearts. when returned 2010 scotties tournament of hearts, team again make playoffs, having finished round robin third, 7-4 record. face ontario s krista mccarville in 3-4 game , lose 4-6.


for second year in row team qualify , win 2011 british columbia scotties tournament of hearts. time carter attend 2011 scotties tournament of hearts 6 months pregnant. after round robin play concluded, team tied fourth place 7-4 record. enter tiebreaker nova scotia s heather smith-dacey. in spite of stealing 2 points in tenth end, team fall short losing tiebreaker 8-9.


at end of 2010-2011 season jeanna schraeder leave team due pregnancy. team added daliene sivertson @ third replace schraeder, halfway through season, carter move throwing second stones third stones, sivertson moving second stones, still holding broom. move meant success , team win 2012 british columbia scotties tournament of hearts, barely defeating marla mallett in final. @ 2012 scotties tournament of hearts, team finish round robin in second place 8-3 record. face manitoba s jennifer jones in 1-2 game, , defeat team manitoba 7-5 receiving bye final. team meet alberta s heather nedohin in final, , in close game lose 6-7. carter again pregnant @ 2012 event.


at end of 2011-2012 season both armstrong , sivertson leave team. scott , carter welcome jeanna schraeder, , added sarah wazney team. team won provincial title , win bronze medal @ 2013 scotties tournament of hearts.
