riders must 48 or taller ride.

queue

riders approach ride through temple in fiesta village section of park. many mayan-style drawings , paintings can seen on walls throughout entire temple. bottom queue themed part. on 1 side, can see prisoners imprisoned in temple skeletons. on side, riders see giant aztec idol skulls on side of him. bottom walls painted show aztec gatherings prisoners , others. queue winds through series of rooms , tunnels. walk next ramp, can see more skulls temple. straight ahead, there giant stone tablet of more mayan jaguar warriors head of jaguar. left of that, there mayan idol head. can hear roaring of jaguar, activated when train enters helix located @ end of coaster. tribal drums , other mayan sound effects , heard. queue rises in elevation station riders board roller coaster.

layout

the ride starts out ascending lift hill after exiting station. next, coaster goes left, , down slightly. after that, coaster banked right turn up, , travels through top of temple (where fire effect used occur), , goes through loop of montezooma s revenge. train turns right , travels second lift hill. track bends left, , coaster goes through series of bunny hills. track approaches timber mountain log ride, turns around. train travels through more bunny hills, banked helix left. finally, goes brake run , arrives in station.

lifts

the train propelled drive tires because of short distance of 2 lifts. these tires vary in tread pattern. main tread pattern recycled rubber diamond cut. tires appear not spinning, rather speed monitors, track how fast train being propelled, , depending on how fast train going, tells other motors how fast spin. if train going fast, fault occur , train stop @ next possible stopping point. each lift 65 feet high; first lift 20 degree incline, while second lift 25 degree incline.

trains

there 2 trains, each 15 cars. cars have 2 types of wheels attached them: track wheels on top , guide wheels on side. every car has brake fin underneath in propelling train through drive tires , assist in braking. each car can seat 2 riders. there 3 locking positions restraint system. trains themed match architectural style of temple , surrounding area, man on front employees, maintenance personnel, call victor, in honor of maintenance person once worked @ knott s berry farm had uncanny resemblance man on front of train, untimely died car accident.

block system

jaguar! has semi-complex block system avoid trains coming close or in complete contact each other. location of each train monitored proximity sensors when sensing metal of brake fin, send location main computer, displayed on main dispatch control panel. ride has 3 different blocks not including station. block end of station approach station. b block top of lift 1 top of lift 2. c block , possible place have set occur, top of second lift station approach section of track. set occurs when 1 train attempts enter block occupied train. dispatch panel allows operator send 1 train after second train has cleared second lift, entering c block . there 6 places train can stop: station, lift 1, lift 2 approach, lift 2, c brakes, station approach. train enters station station approach automatically when auto advance activated. however, if auto advance deactivated, train stay in station approach while other train travels through , b block. once train hits top of lift 2 1 train in station approach, both lifts stop , dispatcher s display read 067 block c/setup , indicating 2 trains attempting occupy same block. other possible setup 061 block r/setup , when trains become close in computer s readings, though 1 train occupying blocks.

changes

possibly 1 of first changes ride removal of fire effect top of temple , steaming jaguars located in station approach section of track during cedar fair s corporate take over. change occurred during operation of jaguar! addition of fabric seatbelts; similar ones found on montezooma s revenge , ghostrider, due cedar fair. second more noticeable change repainting of attraction. changed red track brown supports bright orange track light blue supports. of 2016 colors have been returned red track , light brown supports.
