qualification

four qualification events held determine representation 2014 youth olympics, 2013 world junior championships , 3 continental qualifiers. each national olympic committee (noc) can enter maximum of 2 boats, 1 per each gender. should china not qualify boats given boat in single sculls each gender. host quota not used qualified asian regatta. in addition 6 athlete quotas, 3 each gender decided tripartite commission. 4 spots, 2 each gender decided tripartite commission. other 2 spots reallocated based on performances 2013 world junior championships.


to eligible participate @ youth olympics athletes must have been born between 1 january 1996 , 31 december 1997. should noc qualify 2 boats same gender boat higher ranking qualified , next highest ranked noc qualify.
