cerebral palsy-international sports , recreation association defined class in january 2005 as, hemiplegic class true ambulant hemiplegic athlete. class 7 athlete has spasticity grade 3 2 in 1 half of body. walk without assistive devices limp due spasticity in lower limb. functional ability in dominant side of body. lower extremities-hemiplegia spasticity grade 3 2. dominant side has better development , follow through movement in walking , running. athlete has difficulty walking on heels , has significant difficulty hopping on impaired leg. side stepping towards impaired side affected. athletes moderate minimal athetosis not fit class. upper extremities-arm , hand control affected in non-dominant side. there functional control on dominant side.
cp7 class sports people tend participate in football, cycling, swimming , athletics.
