a challenge plant simulations consistently integrate environmental factors, such surrounding plants, obstructions, water , mineral availability, , lighting conditions. build virtual/environments many parameters computationally feasible, thereby, not simulating growth of plant, environment growing within, and, in fact, whole ecosystems. changes in resource availability influence plant growth, in turn results in change of resource availability. powerful models , powerful hardware necessary simulate these recursive interactions of recursive structures.
