zohore s form @ end of previous season attracted interest several clubs hull city, original bid of £6 million, , brighton & hove albion both having bids rejected cardiff. manager neil warnock later commented zohore not sale , leave club if have heart attack , manager takes over. zohore scored first goal of season in opening match, goal of game in 1–0 victory on burton albion on 5 august 2017. following nine-game goal drought, zohore scored brace against leeds united on 26 september, in 3–1 win.
