uka decided join fighting in iraq or afghanistan, failed since failed establish right contacts. via internet, uka managed establish contact sheik abdellatif of so-called da wa group, preached in 2 mosques in frankfurt. salafi mosque of these 2 considered meeting-point radical islamists. several well-known islamists have been seen there. example of salafi lone wolf terrorism in europe, uka s sole contacts extremists online, never had direct personal contact , never involved in physical network.

during uka s trial, defence lawyer described him non-typical violent criminal neither religiously motivated nor islamist terrorist, while attorney general of germany named uka single perpetrator, applied sentence of life imprisonment plus finding of exceptional gravity of guilt .


on 10 february 2012, hessian state superior court (oberlandesgericht frankfurt main) sentenced uka life imprisonment determination of exceptional gravity of guilt , means not eligible parole after having served fifteen years. because sentenced more 3 years imprisonment, deported kosovo after having served sentence since not hold german citizenship.
