in late 2008 sebastian again travelled record of tracks members of john mayer s band. mayer invited recording sessions put guitar solo on 1 track, stayed contribute guitar , backing vocals on 4 songs. 1 of these songs not included on album. 3 on album myself , failed mention , never . album s second single art of love ballad co-written sebastian , adam rielly. written duet, sebastian unable find singer in australia record with. had submitted track jordin sparks, , shortly before album due released sparks agreed sing on track. sebastian flew los angeles record vocals , later returned film video her. final track on album, perfection , written sebastian tribute wife jules, , sung him @ wedding. not going release originally, persuaded friends , family add album.


sebastian said in interview in late 2009 songs album had more organic old school sound, record company had wanted album have similar sound memphis album. said didn t feel right australian market, ended new record of original songs didn t have quite right production, sounded quite old school, didn t have modern edge it. ended going , reproducing quite nightmare. mean like example old school, real drums, real organic, reproduced , got sound little more modern, in face guess, way , did lot of tracks yeah, bit of nightmare getting final product . sebastian said felt wanted creatively album: m in happy place musically, because style of music want , ve wanted long. s not me changing world; s fun music - pure , simple. music powerful. s powerful enough on personal level, without me trying change world.
