with prospect of facing competition both netflix , hbo when announced streaming services available in denmark late 2012, yousee announced plans own upcoming streaming service. called youbio (a play on danish word cinema, biograf), , launched on 7 december 2012.


the service available app on smart tvs lg, samsung, on android, , ios. costumers buy separate digital media player youbio boks yousee had developed.


in june 2014 tdc announced youbio become movie rental service couldn t compete netflix had been more successful tdc had imagined. later in year youbio shut down completely.

yousee play launched on 6 october 2014 future of cable tv. made possible costumers watch tv channel subscriptions on smartphones, smart tvs, tablets , computers.


less year later, on 25 august 2015 yousee play shut down, although features carried on existing main yousee tv product.


yousee wifi-spot

in march 2014, new service called yousee wifi-spot launched. idea create wifi hotspots around country enabling second wifi broadcast on yousee cable modems. further 10 mbit/s speed added on participating customers bandwidth measure not have public wifi hotspot affect customers own private wifi.


the service shut down end of month, on 31 march 2014, following incidents of people s files , devices being accessed via security breaches between public wifi hotspot , customers own private wifi.
