in october 2008, rnib , action blind people agreed in principle combine services across england. new arrangement began in april 2009, resulting in action blind people becoming associate charity of rnib.

in 2002 rnib became membership organisation, enabling greater proportion of blind , partially sighted people involved , have on how organisation delivers services , work does.

rnib governed board of trustees. board has 24 members, more 50 per cent of whom must blind or partially sighted. number of committees support work of board.
volunteers
rnib s work supported more 3000 volunteers throughout uk.
