Musical career Rodney Linderman

after befriending future band mate joe genaro in high school in chester county, pennsylvania, linderman joined embryonic version of genaro s basement group dead milkmen around 1981. briefly serving drummer, linderman had become group s lead singer time of first public performance in 1983.


following success of 1985 debut lp, big lizard in backyard, group toured extensively , enjoyed college radio , modest mtv-based success behind 8 lps. linderman served group s lead vocalist until 1992 s soul rotation album, acted keyboardist behind genaro s vocals. later releases saw balance of these 2 roles. group disbanded in 1995.

shortly before dead milkmen disbanded, linderman founded group burn witch burn wife vienna , 4 other musicians. group blended american roots music celtic folk, pogues-styled punk , gothic leanings. released demo tape, 1 cd-ep , 1 full-length album before breaking in 2001.


after 2 reunion shows in 2004, dead milkmen officially reformed in 2008. linderman, genaro , drummer dean sabatino joined bassist dan stevens replaced deceased former bassist of group, dave schulthise. have since resumed performing regular concerts , working on new material.


linderman plays in group 25 cromwell street bill fergusson of burn witch burn , guest appearances members of dead milkmen.
