on february 15, 1972 larma founded parbatya chattagram jana samhati samiti (pcjss), seeking build organisation representing jumma peoples of hill tracts. larma elected jatiya sangsad, national legislature of bangladesh candidate of pcjss in 1973. when larma s continued efforts make state recognise rights of jumma peoples failed, larma , pcjss began organising shanti bahini (peace corps), armed force operating in hill tracts area, began attacking state forces in 1977.


being main leader of pcjss , shanti bahini, larma consequently went underground, hiding state security forces. however, factionalism within pcjs weakened larma s standing , assassinated on november 10, 1983.
