austrian silesia consisted of 2 territories, separated moravian land strip of moravská ostrava between ostravice , oder rivers.


the area east of ostravice around cieszyn reached heights of western carpathians (silesian beskids) in south, bordered kingdom of hungary, along olza , upper vistula rivers border prussian silesia in north. in east biała river @ bielsko separated lesser polish lands of polish–lithuanian commonwealth, incorporated austrian kingdom of galicia , lodomeria upon first partition of poland in 1772.


the territory west of oder river stretching town of opava bílá voda confined jeseníky mountain range of eastern sudetes in south, separating moravia, , opava river in north. in west golden mountains formed border county of kladsko.
