the olympic club s city clubhouse masonry building on post street, 2 blocks west of union square in san francisco, next door bohemian club , on same block marines memorial club. garage (shared marines memorial club) , separate entrance on sutter street, on north side of block. current clubhouse built in 1912, after first 1 destroyed in 1906 san francisco earthquake. clubhouse contains pub, dining room, meeting rooms, banquet rooms, guestrooms, fitness center, cardio solarium, handball , squash courts, circuit training facilities, 2 basketball courts, 2 swimming pools, , rooftop deck.


the club setting of 1966 episode fight san francisco never forgot of syndicated western television series, death valley days. in story line walter watson (john mcliam) halts local bully , trains james j. corbett (james davidson) promotional rival.
