high-speed rail
in 2006, chinese government had plans construct 710 kilometres (440 mi) of high-speed railway in beijing-tianjin-hebei region 2020.
in august 2008, beijing–tianjin intercity railway opened providing direct route between beijing , tianjin. initial trains run on average 300 km/h , have cut journey times between 2 municipalities half hour. important high-speed railway here beijing-shanghai high-speed railway, connected bohai economic rim yangtze river delta. railway passing jinan, shandong s capital city. important high-speed railway in area beijing-guangzhou high-speed railway, passing shijiazhuang, capital of hebei.besides, there beijing-harbin high-speed railway, passing liaoning s capital shenyang.
