in 1994, commissioned in russian northern fleet, marshal ustinov laid somewhere in baltic awaiting extensive repairs. in december 1996, people s republic of china purchased 2 sovremenny-class destroyers , income sale made possible pay $us169 million repairs marshal ustinov.


in march 2011 reported marshal ustinov transferred russian pacific fleet.

in 2012 cruiser laid repairs , upgrades @ zvyozdochka shipyard. ship rejoined navy in 2016.
