robertson stadium, cougars former home stadium
from program s inception until end of 1950 season, cougars played home games in houston public school stadium, later renamed jeppesen stadium, , robertson stadium in 1980 until demolition. however, exception of occasional single games in 1995 , 1996 seasons, cougars did not return stadium until 1998 season following renovations. remained home stadium through 2012 season; demolition began shortly afterwards make way new stadium @ same site. 2006 2011, stadium home houston s major league soccer team, houston dynamo.
houston stadium • rice stadium
in 1951, houston stadium, later known rice stadium, stadium subsidized city of houston, opened. until 1964, cougars played home games @ rice stadium along rice university. during time, president john f. kennedy gave famous address regarding nation s space effort @ stadium.
astrodome
in 1965, astrodome officially opened, , cougars moved in same year. in 1968, bluebonnet bowl changed location stadium, , cougars regularly began participate in bowl. after 1997 season, following renovations, cougars moved robertson stadium. astrodome remains team s longest serving home stadium.

while tdecu stadium under construction during 2013 season, cougars played 5 of 7 home games @ reliant stadium (now known nrg stadium). other 2 home games in 2013 played @ bbva compass stadium. in 2016, houston again played @ nrg stadium, defeated oklahoma in front of crowd of 71,016.
tdecu stadium
tdecu stadium cougars present stadium. groundbreaking project occurred on february 8, 2013, , cougars moved in 2014 season. cost build stadium $128 million. built upon former robertson stadium site.
