the h. h. franklin manufacturing company awarded w. j. burns contract building reinforced concrete , brick building 65 feet (20 m) 100 feet (30 m) , five-stories high used general factory purposes. company going build one-story shipping building west of harbor brook served branch tracks. work cost $45,000. new building connect group of buildings on north wing. additional space , equipment increase in production of @ least 300 cars acquired.


in september, 1906, company announced plans construct fireproof freight house. additionally, company built both sawmill used in working material used in sills of franklin automobiles, , narrow-gauge railway throughout entire factory yards , buildings facilitate handling of materials. freight house constructed wide platforms, covered protruding roof. spur of lackawanna railroad complete, , tracks laid passed on each side of building, 1 side receiving goods , other dispatching them. equipment of department included, shipper s office, accumulating room, crating room , sundry packing department.


the construction , design of sawmill building similar of freight house, of different dimensions. sawmill 45 feet (14 m) 68 feet (21 m) , 30 feet (9.1 m) high. situated in lumber yard, parallel lackawanna tracks, lumber received passed directly through.

by july, 1906, new garage established h. h. franklin manufacturing company in connection factory repair shop. every comfort in shape of waiting , reading rooms provided visitors.
