robson s appointment announced on 8 may 2012 pope benedict xvi , received episcopal consecration on 9 june 2012, feast of st columba, keith patrick cardinal o brien archbishops antonio mennini , mario conti serving co-consecrators. assigned titular see of tunnuna in tunisia.


immediately following episcopal consecration served representative of bishops conference of scotland @ 50th international eucharistic congress in dublin 10–17 june 2012.


as auxiliary bishop, robson became member of bishops conference. following consecration, continued in role chancellor of archdiocese , served parish priest @ ss john cantius , nicholas, broxburn, beginning in september 2012.


following resignation bishop in response misconduct of o brien in february 2013, , appointment of archbishop philip tartaglia apostolic administrator of archdiocese, robson named archibishop tartaglia s delegate in day-to-day running of archdiocese.

on 11 december 2013, robson appointed bishop of dunkeld pope francis. enthroned in st andrew s cathedral, dundee, on 9 january 2014.


in march 2013 robson appointed 1 of twelve members of mclellan commission, external review group tasked investigating how scottish church deals abuse allegations , making recommendations prevent recurrence of abuses, reported in august 2015.

in february 2015, robson appointed bishop promoter , trustee of catholic seafarers charity apostleship of sea.
